ANYWAYS!!!
GM GENTLE MEMBER)

如ITALIAN ASIAN AROUND-THE-WORLD SEAFOOD等等

這裡每一為GO(GENTLE ORGANIZER)都講英文
(SUN DANCE)

ANYWAYS!!!

Oh, please don't list me on the forwarded junk mail OK????

JEREMY

Finally, I am in Bali, surviving over 1 week! My only impression about here is HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT...I mean, the weather!

However, the rest of scenary actually is so similar to my hometown, make me feel comfortable! The only difference is that all the sign on the street are written in English (or Bahasa Indonesian!)

Club Med is DEFINATELY a paradise for crazy young people! Such a shy boy from super rural area of Taiwan...I am wondering if I can survive with this new challenge of job or not??! Actually, wearing a very flowerie shirts embarrassed me already!

In this utopia of Club Med, we call all the guests "GM", as Gentle Members while we are "G.O"s, Gentle Organizor! All GMs in village are encouraged to enjoy all activities provided, Wind surfing, Kayaking, Beach volleyball, Golf, Squash, soccor, gym, archery, and the most unique and exciting one "Trapeaze" the Flying Man! However,....I still have no chance to try any one of them, because of the work load! Well...I do plan to try after the Taiwan guests group leaving from the village!

It's always the most enjoyable moment to stay in the restaurant! International buffet with different menu everyday... Italian, Asian, Around the world, Sea Food, Island buffet...and more! Table wine (red or white, by your choice), soft drinks and beer are free flow during meal time! Well....Put the diet for tomorrow once you enter the restaurant!

All GOs speak English, (well, with all different accents of different country actually!) so basically no problem with communication! Most Asian languages are spoken in village for guests from specific Asian countries. (well...At least, Mandarin/Japanese/Korean!) Some Club Med habits are the MUSTs in a day! "SUN DANCE" by noon time is the ClubMed-Only Ceremony, to pray for good weather for next day! Lots of Bar games after lunch or during your coffee/tea time! After dinner, all the staffs prepare the Night events for guests, in all different theme, ~~Traditional Asian show, LipSync Show, Flying Trapeaze Show, Kids show and more... "Crazy Sign" is another ceremony in Club Med which is to make all guests and staffs to dance and have fun all together! Disco always starts after Main show events! If you follow all these activities from morning to night, well, really good excercise!

Here is really so hot, that "Dehydrating" is a serious problem if not drinking enough water. Also, watch your skin...Sun Block is also the MUST in this tropical island! I am assigned as the "Chinese PR" in this resort. "PR" is actually the "club med language". In normal languages, it means "Guest Relation Officer"! I have to work in the front desk for some hours. I am in charge of Village information tour (orientation tour) everyday by 10am & 5pm. Mostly in Chinese, however, while no Chinese guests in house, I have to do the English one too!

At beginning of working, I really felt that I am such a useless junk in the front desk! I can't do any check-in/check out. My only function at beginning was to help these European colleagues to understand what Japanese guests are asking in front desk! (even not many Chinese guests at that time!!?!!) During meal time, we invite guests to dine together! I always choose to sit with Japanese or Asian guests. Sometimes we had really a very good time chatting and dining together! However, most of the time, either we are totally ignored by the guests on table because they were so concentrate eating eating and eating!

"Bon Appetite"
"Ching Man Yong"
"Bajige juseyooo"
"Selamat Makan"
"Takusan tabete kudasai ne!"

These are all we learned about "Enjoy your meal" while first to speak by table!

Taiwan guests are arriving mostly in the afternoon. That's always what I am functionable in house! Prepare for their arrival, welcome, escort to the rooms, orientation and..... After all these, it's about time for dinner actually! After dinner, the Show Time! All PRs from different nationalities are on stage for opening of the show, to explain the show in all dinfferent languages. Well, I found that on stage, my Mandarin ability suddenly gone to somewhere I don't know...so what I spoke from Mic became such non-sense Chinese... These hosts and hostess on TV are really so brave, I finally realized!

Thankfully, not too many Taiwan guests would come for show time coz they rather spend their holiday in "Ma-Jon" game room in the night time! Normally, the rehearsal of next night show would be done by mid night while most guests leaving for sleep! (fortunately, I am not assigned for many shows because...I believe our stage manager really wanna keep the quality of the show! hahaha!)

That's about the day! I didn't know that such routine has been going for more than 1000 days of my life! Amazing! You feel this is an easy job? While you met some Taiwan guests asking you "WHERE CAN I CALL GIRLs and HOW DO THEY CHARGE here?", I don't think you will agree this is an easy one! (After refusing their request....I would really feel like to throw a knife to their heads........!!!)

Anyways! Once you are here... Enjoy the beach Enjoy the Suntanning Enjoy the fiest Enjoy the Party Welcome to this Utopia....the paradise you pay for!
